The Hong Kong Drum Festival is a major annual highlight in the city’s percussion scene, and its signature Majestic Drums concert series brings together outstanding percussionists from around the world and across generations. This year’s Majestic Drums concert once again features acclaimed Chinese percussion virtuoso Professor Wang Jianhua, a doctoral advisor at the Central Conservatory of Music in the Mainland, who joins the orchestra in two iconic works, Uproar in Heaven and In the Deep of the Night. Also returning by popular demand are The Little Angels Art Troupe from South Korea, who captured hearts in last year’s drum carnival. Teaming up once again with the orchestra, they will present their impressive drumming skills, bringing to life the vibrant rhythms and spirited energy of traditional Korean culture.
